Meet Caleb

This is Caleb! He is 6 years old. He is a little boy that I was fortunate enough to meet while volunteering at the displacement camp in Mayfair. During the xenophobic attacks in April, he and his mom Patricia and little brother Daniel (3) lost everything. His mom has been trying really hard to put their lives back together and has managed to find them a new, safe place to stay in Primrose.

A budding student

Caleb is exceptionally clever and should be in Grade 0; however, his mom just cannot afford the fees for the crèche. It is breaking her heart and she has reached out to Pam Green #SecondChances to ask if we can help. The fees are R650 per month.

Taking his #SecondChance

Are there perhaps a few people who would be willing to contribute towards this on a monthly basis? Education is everything. This will create endless opportunities for Caleb, and will open doors to his – and his family’s – future! ‪#‎SecondChances‬ ‪#‎OnePersonAtATimeCanChangeTheWorld‬

Caleb is now in Grade 1, he is a smart little boy and is thriving at school.

How #SecondChances helped: We managed to find three donors who jointly pay for Caleb’s monthly school fees, as well as for any stationery he requires.
