Original Facebook post: February 22, 2016 Meet Mishak At the age of 15 he became an orphan, and was left to look after himself and his sister, who was 13 at the time. He managed to buy a camera and used to sell pictures in the informal settlement that he called home. This is how he managed to keep a roof over their heads, and food in their stomachs. Against all odds, Mishak finished top of his matric class, and also ensured that his sister finished matric two years later! This brilliant and determined young man then met the incredible angels from the Friends of Parent and Child, a division of Hartbeespoort Parent and Child Counselling Centre, who sponsored his tertiary education, and in December 2015 he qualified with an N6 Electrical Engineering diploma! Taking his #SecondChance Mishak now needs to find a paid internship so that he can continue looking after himself and his sister. The qualification requires 18 months of work experience. If you are able to assist Mishak with an internship/job, please contact us directly. #SecondChances #HelpMishak #AgainstAllOdds Update! Update, 22 March 2016: Mishak has found employment at AMPA and will start working immediately!
