This is Stevens. He is a security guard with big dreams!
Stevens currently works as a security guard at a complex in the Bryanston area. His dream is to become a paramedic and work as a basic ambulance assistant, and help save people's lives.
He completed his first aid course with 86%. The next step is the entrance exam for the BAA course on 16 November 2015 which costs R2,500, which he has already managed to save over time!
The actual BAA course which begins in January 2016 through Netcare911 will cost R11,500.
Taking his #SecondChance
Stevens has asked if we can find him piece work, which he can do when he is not on duty, so he can earn the amount he needs. He works seven days, and then is off for four days. He says he can even do some work when he is on seven days night shift.
Stevens is looking for work as a gardener, painter, admin worker, driver (he has Code 10 C1), etc. He is determined to better his life and his family’s life by furthering his education, in order to live his dream, and better provide for himself, Sophie and their son Tokelo!
If you have any part-time work for Stevens, and would like his CV, please contact Pam Green #SecondChances via inbox or comment below.
Let’s help Stevens and his family have a better life!
Stevens wrote the BAA entrance exam with over 80 other people. He passed in the top 24 and was accepted into the course. He is a good way though the course, going to school from 8am to 5pm, and then working as a security guard from 6pm to 6am. Not a complaint, only smiles and excitement.
How #SecondChances has helped: We raised the funds for the course and paid for his studies in full.
